What is the Gem Series?
The Birth of 'Gem'- It means a new evolution of ball-jointed dolls.
The symbol of an evolution always beats our hearts and pulls our time down fast from the past.
'Gena', 'Rian' and 'Kyrie' have inhaled the breaths of lives since 'Dimo' and 'Dillui' of Gem Series got the first life breaths.
Dimu, who achieved a triumphant result with a new revolution by creating 'Gem Series', is putting his heart and soul in creating 'Mini Gem' series that will be another series of 'Soom' in November 2005.
'Mini Gem', which can be dressed naturally with any garments for the existing 12" dolls, is a new concept of an articulated doll, smaller and more elaborated than 'MSD', and the articulated jointed doll can stand alone by itself and it can be posed in any postures that no one could have imagined until now.

Sculpt:
'Gem Series' make a great appeal to doll collectors since they are 60cm (24") tall (60cms) and have 30cm legs. The doll owners have much interest and pleasures in the dolls' face-up looks as if they are alive with the realistic and delicate sculpt for eyes, eyebrows, lips and so on. And also, they let the collectors have special pleasures from the ones, which have the meanings beyond the simple dolls, since they express the mixed looks in sorrow & loneliness, pleasure& jealousy and meditation & scorn differently according to the viewers' angles. 
Easy to Handle& Keeping:
It is easy to replace or assemble the eyeballs since the head of a 'Gem' is functionally designed to uncap or cap by turning the top of the head in hands. The hole of the head jointed to the neck is structurally designed in order for the head of a Gem to be rotated at various angles. The supremacy of handicraft is felt with the signature inside the head cap signed by the designer.
No Kicking and Well Standing Body:
The best interest of the doll owners and collectors of articulated jointed dolls is whether the dolls can stand by themselves or not. When 'Gem Series' stand alone, there is no kicking, which means the legs are bent automatically. 'Kicking' is prevented by setting up a break function at the knee joints of a Gem body. Therefore, the structure of the joints supports the easy standing of the Gem body.
There is little yellowing.
Most ball-jointed resin dolls generally are yellowed under the sunlight after a long exposure or as time passes. However, only the premium quality of resin is used for 'Gem' dolls when they are cloned. So, it minimizes yellowing of 'Gem' dolls although there might be little whitening. As a result, a 'Gem' can maintain the originally gorgeous and natural color tone of the skin for a long time.
Various poses are possible.
A 'Gem' consists of 16 parts. It is easy to handle and has wide ranges of movements since unnecessary joints except the musts, such as shoulders, arms, wrists, pelvis, knees, ankles, etc are minimized and the possible ranges of movements are maximized. 
Delicate considerations are given to all the parts of the body.
The hands and feet of a 'Gem' are delicate and realistic as if they are miniatures of the human being's hands and feet. All considerations are 'given to each part by endowing the sense of reality to naturally bent bodyline and wrinkles, well associated angles with various poses without awkwardness and even the unseen parts, such as palm lines, finger nails, soles, etc.
Every Gem is a hip-joint type.
The body type of a 'Gem' is a hip-joint type. The benefits of the hip-joint type are in the natural movements of the bodyline and an additional elegance as well as the naturalness with the unexposed joints when a 'Gem' is outfitted with a midriff or exposure clothing.

The face up design of 'Gem Series' is completed over 20 steps in total.
The make-up artists in SOOM work manually from beginning to end with the sensual codes exactly matched to each concept, so the each member's esthetic delicacy is superior to others.
Therefore, the first impression of a 'Gem' is special. It is said that the more time passes the more emotional touch is followed on the heels of another since the sincere touches are put even to the fine parts of the eyebrows strand by strand as well as the eyebrows and eyelashes that influence the feelings from the facial looks.
